Leon began his career in underground mining as an Operator at Plutonic Gold Mine in 2005. Over the next seven years, he gained extensive experience working with various machinery, including trucks, loaders, and specializing in explosives.

In 2012, Leon transitioned into Underground Safety & Training and Emergency Services. With a 15-year background in Emergency Response Teams (ERT), he has responded to real-life emergencies and competed in multiple mines rescue competitions. He also served as the ERT Coordinator for Northern Star Resources at Jundee Gold Mine for approximately four years.

In 2020, Leon advanced to the role of Business Development Manager, focusing on providing Emergency and Safety Solutions in Mining and Tunneling.

Leon now applies his safety and explosives experience at LiveMine to help mine sites embrace digitalisation.
